I am eating candy at my desk. Christmas candy. It's not like I can keep it around and it's not like I can throw it away. So piece by piece, it will disappear, each with a renewed promise to be the last one.
I will eat this whole bag. I know it.
If you want some, drop by my office and have a piece or two. My motorcycle suspension will appreciate it.

Ain't Dead Yet ain't dead yet.

Work progresses on my novel AIN'T DEAD YET. I hope to have it ready by May or June. It's follow up, CURSING BLACK'S TRAIL in November/December.

Blue Christmas

I am writing this after Christmas. I am struggling. The weight of the rejection of my kids is heavy on my shoulders. I am saddened by the inability on my part to gain the opportunity to reach out to them in a way that maybe they can start to understand the why's. But more importantly, how much I love them and miss them. At times, it is more than I can bear.

New Book Cover, still in process of publishing

In following the advice of a respected person, Guy Kawasaki, I did not wait for a great cover to publish my book. But my brother has helped me from myself and gave me a cover that better reflects the ,ah hem, excellent writing of the book beyond the cover. Methinks I like it.

Five Ticks

Five ticks, twelve times a minute, the second hand advances.
Either with a steady eye on watch or momentary glances.
So also does my heart; I know not the number each minute.
Counting down the beats of life, no matter the deeds within it

Twice the Christmas Available

It is done. My Christmas story, Twice the Christmas, started in concept two years ago, written last year, is finally finished and available on Kindle downloads.

I am very happy with the way the story unfolded and in the weird way that writing works for me, I came away from it, having learned from the characters. I hadn't really thought of Christmas quite like that. Yet, somewhere inside I must have.
